We give our League of Legends aggregated solo queue tier list for Patch 10.24, looking at the best mid laners!

In Patch 10.24, Riot spent a lot of attention on the problematic items in the mid lane rather than targetting individual, problematic mid lane champions. Our latest tier list will show how much those item changes affected the mid lane meta.

Our aggregated League of Legends tier list pulled data from ten different sites around the internet to see how they each ranked the top champions in each role in Patch 10.24. From that, we are able to give our average ranking of each champion that was graded or listed in at least half of those tier lists. As always, you can find the link to all the underlying data here.

Key

  • * = new to the League of Legends tier list this patch
  • ⇑ = improved (rated at least one tier higher than the previous patch)
  • ⇓ = declined (rated at least one tier lower than the previous patch)
  • ⇐ = borderline-up (within 10% of being in the next-higher tier)
  • ⇒ = borderline-down (within 10% of being in the next-lower tier)

Rising Picks

Only one pick, Aurelion Sol, had a significant move up our tier list, improving by half a tier. In addition, we had two champions that rose up massively, meaning they improved by at least one full tier on our mid lane tier list – Corki and Kayle. Kayle, in particular, had a massive improvement this patch, moving into the A tier all the way from the D tier.

Falling Picks

There were 12 mid lane champions in Patch 10.24 who had a significant drop to their rating on our tier list:

  • Zed
  • Katarina
  • Talon
  • Yasuo
  • Yone
  • Qiyana
  • Anivia
  • Ryze
  • Heimerdinger
  • Pantheon
  • Zilean
  • Karthus

In addition, Akali, Nunu & Willump, and Seraphine, all had massive drops to their ranking in the mid lane tier list.

Underrated Picks

With under a 1% pick rate (0.94%), Kayle has the lowest pick rate out of all A tier mid laners.

Overrated Picks

Sylas, with an 11.74% pick rate (second-highest among mids), is our pick for overrated mid laner of Patch 10.24. Other notable non-A tier picks in the top ten mid laners by pick rate include Yasuo, Yone, and Lucian.

Buffed Champions

None

Nerfed Champions

Kayle (D tier ⇒ A tier)
Yasuo (A tier ⇒ B tier)
Yone (High-B tier ⇒ Low-B tier)

Well, the nerfs to Yasuo and Yone, with regards to how their crit passives interact with Guinsoo’s, do seem to have worked. But Kayle…yeah she’s probably going to need further nerfs next patch.
