League of Legends Tier List: The Best Supports on Patch 11.2
By Josh Tyler
In Patch 11.2, Riot took aim at one of the strongest supports, Maokai, while also blessing support players with buffs to Soraka and Senna. Maokai will be the key champion to look at , since h’es dominated our League of Legends tier lists for several patches in the support role.
Our aggregated League of Legends tier list pulled data from ten different sites around the internet to see how they each ranked the top champions in each role in Patch 11.2. From that, we are able to give our average ranking of each champion that was graded or listed in at least half of those tier lists. As always, you can find the link to all the underlying data here.

Rising Picks
Rell continues to rise up our tier list as players grow more comfortable with her kit, but Galio also gained a full tier in Patch 11.2. Three other champions – Gragas, Seraphine, and Sett – all got significant improvements to their rankings of at least a half tier.
Falling Picks
On the other hand, the champion who fell the furthest was, surprisingly, Janna. She was joined on the list of champions who dropped by a half tier or more by Brand, Nami, Pantheon, Lux, Morgana, Xerath, and Zyra.
Underrated Picks
Perhaps it’s due to her recent downturn in strength (or perhaps the cause of it) but Janna has only a 3.9% pick rate in the support role despite still being an A tier champion.
Overrated Picks
Galio is the most-picked support champion (6.7% pick rate, eighth-highest) who did not crack the A tier of our League of Legends tier list.
