League of Legends Tier List: The Best Top Laners in Patch 11.3
By Josh Tyler
The latest League of Legends tier list for Patch 11.3 saw few changes to the top lane, surprisingly. Patch 11.3 marked the start of some pretty big changes, with healing and sustain champions taking massive nerfs, while tank-killers seemed to get stronger. Yet tanks are still prominent atop the top lane of our League of Legends tier list.
Our aggregated League of Legends tier list pulled data from ten different sites around the internet to see how they each ranked the top champions in each role in League of Legends Patch 11.3. From that, we are able to give our average ranking of each champion that was graded or listed in at least half of those tier lists. As always, you can find the link to all the underlying data here.

Let’s dive into all the changes to our League of Legends tier list on Patch 11.3!
Rising Picks
The biggest riser of Patch 11.3 for top lane was Viego, who has incredibly seen some life as a solo laner and not just a jungler. Gragas, another traditional jungler, also got a massive bump to his ranking. Riven, Singed, and Gnar all got significant improvements to their ranking, meaning they rose by a half tier.
Falling Picks
Only a few champions had significant drops to their rankings. Fiora, Tahm Kench, Pantheon, and Akali all dropped this patch.
Underrated Picks
Two patches in a row that Cho’Gath is the least-picked A tier top laner (1.09% pick rate).
Overrated Picks
The Goredrinker nerfs crushed Renekton, causing him to fall out of the A tier. Despite that, he still has the fourth-highest pick rate at 10.59% pick rate for top lane.
