LEC Mid-Season 2021: Everything To Know About Fnatic Roster Moves

More from Blog of Legends

On May 26. it was made official that Fnatic had signed star top laner Adam ‘Adam’ Maanane. Coming off the heels of a disappointing 5th place finish last split the team decided to part ways with their jungler Oskar ‘Selfmade’ Boderek leaving a huge hole in the roster. Many were left in confusion when the team announced that their top laner ‘Bwipo’ would be making a move into the jungle but it’s clear now that there was already a plan in motion for the future.

The pick-up of Adam is absolutely huge, if you’ve paid attention to the European minor circuit you’re probably well acquainted with this powerhouse top laner already. His former team Karmine Corp placed first in both the 2021 European Masters event and LFL Spring 2021 playoffs. Looks like those performances were enough to impress one of the most historic franchises in the LEC. It seems that Fnatic is looking for Adam to be the star that guides them for years to come.

The real question mark lies with what the jungle role will look like with ‘Bwipo’ taking the reigns. It’s hit or miss whether this transition will prove to be fruitful. Role changes however aren’t uncommon, it’s safe to say no one is expecting ‘Bwipo’ to be the second coming of ‘Canyon.’ But if he can be serviceable in the role while Adam adjusts we may just see Fnatic rise a few spots in the next split.
