League of Legends: New Astronaut Skins on PBE

League of Legends Patch 11.13 is on PBE with brand new skins.
League of Legends patch 11.13 is ready on the PBE and with it comes a new selection of skins. There will be five new skins being added to League of Legends. Four of which are astronaut-themed, while the other is a prestige edition project skin. Let’s break down the skins and see if they are worth purchasing when they come out next week.

Our first skin is Astronaut Corki at 1350 RP. One of the first things I thought when I saw this skin was “doesn’t this already exist?” UFO Corki has a strikingly similar look however, it is very tough to acquire.
This new Astronaut Corki is easily available. It’s a fun-looking skin and Corki just fits perfectly in a rocket ship. I could see this being one of his more popular skins, but I’m not sure if it will dethrone Corgi Corki as his best one. There are also eight chromas for this skin.
Astronaut Maokai is the second skin. Set to be priced at 1350 RP, this one also looks like a fun pick-up. You have the roots sticking out the back so you know what champion it is, while also having the spacesuit look of the skin. I love how his saplings are now little aliens, much like Bard’s meeps from his astronaut skin. This skin is well worth the RP, eight chromas will also be available for it.
The third brand new Astronaut skin is Rammus at 1350 RP. While not the biggest fan of the champ, this is a solid cosmetic. Rammus players will definitely run to pick this one up. This skin will also have eight chromas available.
The final new Astronaut skin is Veigar at 1350, it’ll also have eight chromas. This is one of those skins where at first glance you might wonder which champion it is. Despite that being said I think this is another quality skin for him. I could see it compete with Elderwood, or fury horn for the position of top Veigar skin. Plus it’s a unique theme he doesn’t have so no overlap.
Then we have a prestige Project Zed for 100 prestige points. Zed with hair is pretty good looking. Though other than that it’s just a gold chroma for project. I guess if you play Zed, or have the spare points go for it, but this isn’t a must-have skin to me.

Overall I would say the Astronaut line might become one of the best in the game. It’s a light-hearted skin line that includes a variety of champs and roles. So pick these ones up when they go live on patch 11.13.
