League of Legends Patch 11.14 Notes
On the item front there’s only one change coming and it’ll be well received by top laners at every level of play. Dead Man’s Plate will be getting a much needed buff following the mobility reduction nerf that came with patch 11.13.
Many top laners know too well that Riot had initially nerfed this item due to it’s insane synergy with Stridebreaker. Now that Stridebreaker has received a huge nerf Riot is returning Dead Man’s Plate to normal increasing its viability with a much needed boost in armor.

Most notably on the champion nerf side of things we’ll be seeing nerfs happen to Akali, Karma, Malhazar, Nocturne, Shaco, Xin Zhao, and Ziggs. On the other side Darius, Garen, Graves, Illaoi, Ivern, Rek’sai, Taric, and Seraphine will all be receiving buffs next patch. There will also be a few tweaks to Dr.Mundo, Lillia, Tahm Kench, and Irelia; some have already made their way to the PBE.
The Akali change is sure to ruffle a few feathers. Since her rework Akali has been one of the highest picked mid-lane champions in pro play. Her performance would likely be better in high-elo if she wasn’t one of the most banned champions in ranked. The nerf to her ultimate will likely even her out with the rest of the field.
For those that were wondering why Gwen wasn’t on this list well… Riot didn’t feel any need. According to Jeevun Sidhu, Riot’s lead game designer, it’s only on the pro level in Western regions that she’s been deemed OP. So are NA and EU players late to the party or is Riot making a mistake siding with the majority? Only time will tell.
Patch 11.14 is sure to be an interesting change of pace from what we’ve seen so far. Players should look forward to the patch going live July 8.
