The LCS Summer Playoffs are nearing their end. The teams that will make it to Worlds have been decided and now we wait to see who’s going to claim victory in the regional championship tournament. Between Cloud9, 100 Thieves, and Team Liquid each of these teams has a legitimate shot at taking it all this year so the grand finals are sure to be exciting to watch.
Coverage of the Grand Finals will take place on Aug 29 at 4PM EST (1PM PST). Fans can tune into the live stream on the official LCS YouTube channel and Twitch page. It’ll be a best of 5 series between Team Liquid and one of the two other teams fighting it out in the Lower Bracket Finals taking place the day before.

Team Liquid has been patiently waiting for a few weeks now to find out who will be their opponent for the LCS crown. They absolutely earned the break, since the playoffs began they’ve won every series that they’ve been placed in. Ironically, they’ve already beaten both 100 Thieves and Cloud9 in their matchups so they’ll be the clear favorite in either series.
But 100 Thieves and Cloud9 are both clearly itching for a second crack at Team Liquid. Since their first loss in Round 1 Cloud9 has been on a tear, the team that looked terrible in the Summer Split is gone. But 100 Thieves won’t make it easy for them, they’ve been a model of consistency through the recent split and shouldn’t be taken lightly. It’ll be an exciting head-to-head regardless of who makes it to the grand finals, but we’ll have to wait till Aug 28. to find out who gets through.
