When it comes to League of Legends, communication is key to any and all success in the grand scheme of things.

Whether you’re just getting into League of Legends or are working hard to one day go professional, you’ll notice something in common. No, it’s not everyone using Bard in 5v5 but how stressed communication is when it comes to winning matches.

It’s imperative that Summoners use a headset with some kind of communication software. It’s not easy to type everything out in chat since that split second wasting time could be the difference between winning or losing.

Even if you’re able to ping the map to let your teammates what’s going on in your respective lane is very important to winning. If you’re into just playing with random other Summoners and want to make friends, you’ll most likely get honor given by teammates for communicating everything to the best of your abilities.

When playing with all new people, set the tone early with your teammates. Let them know to call anything out, stick to their respective lanes and role and above all else, communicate. Even if no one is using chat, pinging the map to let everyone know enemies are missing or that they need some quick support to win their lane again, goes a very long way.

Once you start making new friends, especially those that want to take the game a bit more seriously, try to get everyone on the same page. You’d be surprised how many have a Skype account, Discord, or even Teamspeak.

Overall, be the difference maker when it comes to playing League. Always communicate, get others to chime in too and next thing you know, you’ll be one step ahead of your opponents.
