The 2017 College Championship Series is here as eight collegiate teams will battle it out in League of Legends.

When it comes to Esports, most think about the amazing tournaments held all across the world. This time around, North America will shine as today begins the 2017 College Championship Series. That’s right, eight colleges will battle it out in League of Legends from Thursday, May 25th, 2017 until Sunday, May 28th, 2017.

The teaser video alone will get anyone amped up for some incredible matches ahead. Eight teams will battle it out over the next few days with one college branded as 2017 champions of this tournament. The first wave of matches will be a best of three series with the final four teams entering a best of five series and the same format for the two final collegiate teams.

This is a great tournament to have that not only will boost Esports in North America but also get some major publicity towards how amazing League of Legends is. Whether it’s the lore, champions, or intense competitive matches, the game continues to head in the right direction while leading the Esports scene in terms of popularity and growth.
