League of Legends: Kayn is top free champion to play in August Week 2

Heading into the final few days of this week’s free champion rotation, check out Kayn, the Shadow Reaper, in League of Legends if you haven’t done so already.

Ever since League of Legends dropped Kayn, the Shadow Reaper, to Summoners everywhere, many felt he was overpowered at first but brought an interesting dimension to a team. Needless to say, he’s been nerfed a bit to be a bit more balanced but at the end of the day, he’s a lot of fun to play with once you master his kit.

Primarily a jungle champion, Kayn excels in ganks and ensuring that his team has a big advantage based on the composition of the enemy team. He’s able to transform to stay one step ahead of enemies to counter them and in the grand scheme of things, is a game changer late in games.

Currently, Kayn has a 47.81 percent win rate but is picking up momentum. Considering that he’s free to play for the next few days, Summoners should at least give him a try to see what he brings to the table.

For those that have never played as him before, make sure to stack Attack Damage as you want to put Kayn in a position to dish out a plethora of damage once he initiates a fight. When it comes to runes, make sure to go Greater Mark of Attack Damage (9), Greater Glyph of Magic Resist (9), Greater Seal of Armor (9), and Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage (3).
