Besides getting this year’s Worlds Championship skin, Ashe, the Frost Archer, will also have a new chroma and ward that will be craftable in League of Legends during the tournament.

Ashe, the Frost Archer, will be this year’s recipient of the 2017 Worlds Championship skin. Besides the amazing new skin that awaits in League of Legends, it’s been confirmed that a special chroma and ward will also be available but with a twist.

In an article written by Julia Lee of The Rift Herald, she confirmed that currently in the Public Beta Environment, a new golden chroma skin, as well as a Championship ward, are being tested. Once the Worlds tournament is finally going on in late September, both items will be available to be unlocked.

Similar to the Omega Squad event that happened back in early July, Summoners will be able to complete missions and earn Tokens specifically around Worlds. It remains to be seen what kind of missions awaits but hopefully, it’ll consist of kills, assists, winning matches, and maybe even playing as specific champions.

Together, both the championship ward and golden chroma will be worth 320 Tokens which again, can only be earned during a limited time window during the Worlds event. Once Summoners have enough Tokens, they’ll be craftable directly in the Loot section of the in-game client.

Considering how big the yearly Worlds tournament is, developers will more than likely add the most missions to date. That way, it’ll ensure that everyone is able to make it the most memorable event of the year and have it mean something. There’s no telling what else they’ll add besides the usual Esports team icons, wards, and unique skins.

Make no mistake about it, the upcoming golden chroma and ward will be worth adding to your collection, especially if you main Ashe. Worlds is the Super Bowl of all Esports tournaments and for the first time ever, developers have a huge opportunity to make it even more memorable by incorporating it with a plethora of unique missions during the tournament. This year’s Worlds tournament will be taking place in China from September 23 – November 4.
