For those of you struggling to figure out how to conquer League of Legends’ newest game mode, Teamfight Tactics, we’re going to let you know which Origins you should be building.

We’ve already broken down the best Classes in Teamfight Tactics, but Classes are only half of the equations. Each League of Legends champion in Teamfight Tactics has both a Class and an Origin.

These Origins are the focus of today’s guide. Which Origins have the best synergies that you should be focusing on when loading into your next game of Teamfight Tactics?

More from Gameplay Guides

13. Exile

What it does: If an Exile has no adjacent allies at the start of combat, they gain a shield equal to their maximum health.
Requirement: One (1) champion.
Eligible champions: Yasuo (5g)
Reason for rank: This synergy is really only as good as the champion, aka just Yasuo for right now. If you get a two or three-star Yasuo with some items on him, yeah this passive is beneficial to help keep him alive. Basically, if you’re looking to all-in build on Yasuo later in the game, this Origin is a bonus, but the synergy isn’t worth picking him alone.

12. Robot

What it does: Robots start the round with 100% mana.
Requirement: One (1) champion.
Eligible champions: Blitzcrank (2g)
Reason for rank: A lot of people give the Robot Origin a lot of grief for being useless because it only has one champion – Blitcrank – and he’s universally regarded as one of the worst champions in Teamfight Tactics. However, I think a lot of people undervalue this passive.

It grants Blitz (and any future Robots added, like Viktor perhaps) a free cast of their ability at the start of the round and only one Robot is needed to get this bonus. That’s pretty nice, especially when you consider that Blitz’s ability grabs the enemy furthest away from him and pulls them to him.

That can massively disrupt your enemy’s backline, grabbing a squishy, high-damage Gunslinger or Ranger to get destroyed before they get all their damage off. That said, this champion does horribly after the first few levels and if you’re running any Assassins at all his ability is pretty much worthless.
