This is a list of the 5 best bot laners in League of Legends on Patch 10.13

Bot lane has become a much more impactful role in League of Legends over the last few weeks following the marksman buffs of Patch 10.11. Now, the best bot laners can survive through the laning phase, build an early gold lead, and carry mid game skirmishes.

Patch 10.13 sees the rise of scaling ADCs in the bot lane tier list with the likes of Ashe, Jinx, and Kog’Maw all growing in significance since their recent buffs. Alongside them are champions that can dominate the laning phase, like Caitlyn, and champions that have far too much damage and are far too safe, like Ezreal.

Here are the 5 best bot laners on Patch 10.13:

5) Jhin

51.87% Win Rate | 12.0% Pick Rate | 1.1% Ban Rate

Jhin is the perfect middle ground champion. He provides decent damage and crowd control during the laning phase but can also dish out the DPS in late game team fights.

The Virtuoso struggles to keep up with scaling carries like Jinx and Tristana, while also easily punished by lane-oriented sharpshooters like Caitlyn and Draven. However, with his wealth of utility, Jhin is well-rounded enough to be a strong pick in almost any team composition.

While not a secret, one route to success for novice Jhin players is adjusting his skill order. Rather than put one level into each of your abilities early on, it’s often better to ignore Captive Audience until forced to level it up in order to add more damage and utility to your other abilities.

4) Ashe

51.67% Win Rate | 13.2% Pick Rate | 2.2% Ban Rate

What Ashe lacks in mobility and escape tools, she makes up for in late game scaling and pick potential with her ultimate Enchanted Crystal Arrow.

The Frost Archer is definitely not recommended for players new to the role, but experienced bot laners should add Ashe to their champion pool immediately as she is rapidly ascending up the marksman tier list.

Despite being outranged by several ADCs early on, Ashe can still throw out some impactful poke during the laning phase. Position yourself behind your minion wave and wait for the enemy minions to fall to low health. Then, cast Volley to finish off the minions and hit enemy champions in one fell swoop to gain a small advantage in the 2v2.

3) Caitlyn

50.82% Win Rate | 14.9% Pick Rate | 7.4% Ban Rate

If you are an impatient ADC player that wants to build a gold advantage as soon as possible to snowball into a quick victory, Caitlyn is the champion for you. The Sheriff of Piltover’s unmatched auto attack range makes her an absolute menace during the laning phase capable of finding kills, maintaining a CS lead, and swiftly dismantling turret plates.

The key to gaining a laning phase advantage and destroying your laning opponents as Caitlyn is to master the use of her Yordle Snap Traps. Place them in bushes, hide them behind the enemy tower, and cast them while an opponent is chasing you to stop them in their tracks to keep complete control of the lane.

2) Vayne

51.24% Win Rate | 13.2% Pick Rate | 11.9% Ban Rate

Clearly, tank-killing isn’t Vayne’s only strength as she boasts a 51.24% win rate on Patch 10.13 in a meta where tanks are few and far between. The Night Hunter sacrifices early power and safety for unparalleled late game DPS from Silver Bolts but right now she’s going unpunished during the laning phase.

Vayne is particularly strong against champions with predictable dashes like Alistar, Leona, and Pantheon. When facing these ‘supports’ in the bot lane, simply cast Condemn whenever they try to engage and stop them in their tracks. Now that their key crowd control ability has been wasted, you can focus fire on the enemy ADC for an easy kill.

1) Ezreal

50.19% Win Rate | 37.0% Pick Rate | 35.2% Ban Rate

As it stands, Ezreal is set to receive a substantial nerf on Patch 10.14, a nerf that is more than deserved after months of the Prodigal Explorer being an incredibly safe pick for any bot laner.

While you still have the chance, jump into solo queue and take full advantage of Ezreal’s power in the current meta. Dealing incredible amounts of damage and solo carrying games should be a simple task provided you remember one thing: Arcane Shift should always be used defensively.

Although it may seem like a good idea to E in and finish off a kill, it almost definitely isn’t. When Ezreal’s E is off cooldown he is invincible and is free to dish out damage completely untouched. When his E is on cooldown, it’s only a matter of time before he is blown up by an enemy assassin or bruiser.
