League of Legends: Reddit Creates Cho’Gath Skin that Needs to Be Made

The League of Legends subreddit is often scoffed at by players, coaches, and other analysts for the playerbase’s poor understanding of the game. While Reddit may not know champion balance, they do have a great eye for skin ideas.

Case in point, Redditor Randomd0g created a post yesterday laying out how Riot could create Cho’Gath’s ultimate skin. The idea for the skin is “You Are What You Eat” and, while the name of the skin is a bit unwieldy (maybe something like “Connoisseur Cho’Gath”?), how it would work is pretty wild.
Cho’Gath’s ultimate, Feast, allows players to consume minions, monsters, and other champions, providing Cho with an execute if the enemy is below a certain health threshold. With this skin, he would gain certain aesthetic characteristics of the champions that he uses Feast on, showing the phrase upon which this skin would be named (you are what you eat) is true for the Terror of the Void.
The Reddit post lays out how the skin would morph to match the look of the enemies Cho gobbles up. For instance, if Cho’Gath eats Ahri, he would sprout nine tails like the fox herself. Or if he ate Blitzcrank, he would gain metal arms. The post likens this to Kirby from Smash Brothers, whose look changes based on which enemy he gobbles.

While this skin may seem a bit far-fetched, it’s important to remember that we already have a skin in League of Legends that changes during the game, Elementalist Lux. Riot could certainly incorporate this same logic into this skin, with Cho’Gath changing similar to how the player chooses the element Lux’s skin reflects.
It might be a bit too much to ask Riot to make Cho sprout nine tails, a metal arm, or a cape made of knives if he eats Talon. But his skin could change based on the type of champion he eats.
For instance, he could turn a deeper purple or blue if he eats a poison champion (Teemo, Singed, or Cassiopeia) versus gaining a rocky exterior if he gobbles up a Malphite or Rek’Sai. He could change color based on the faction of the enemy he consumes, gold if he gobbles a Noxian or green if the unlucky snack is Vastayan.

This skin would, obviously, take a lot of effort from Riot and it would be very expensive once it was released to League of Legends (probably costing over 3000 RP, like Elementalist Lux does), but I think it would be worth it. It would also make a cool skin on Tahm Kench as well, should Riot want to make a whole line of You Are What You Eat/Connoseur skins!
