LoL Guide: How to Play Jinx (Tips, Runes, & Items)
By Josh Tyler
Jinx, the Loose Cannon, is a fairly simple champion for beginners of League of Legends. While her kit is simple, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t ways to show a high level of skill when playing this ADC. This guide is therefore designed to help beginner players who are looking to pick up Jinx in their games.
From runes and items to tips for gameplay and laning, this guide is based off the recommendations of high-elo Jinx players, their guides, and tricks from the Jinx champion subreddit. Again, these tips and tricks are geared more towards newer players to Jinx, so be sure to check out those high-elo players for a more in-depth guide.

Summoner Spells
Flash/Heal
This is a standard Summoner Spell setup for AD Carries and Jinx is no exception. Both of these allow players to escape and stay alive longer in fights, which is a key for immobile carries.
Flash/Cleanse
A bit more of an advanced Summoner Spell setup, this is better only in specific instances. If players are facing teams (especially support/junglers), with a lot of easy-to-land crowd control, they should consider taking Cleanse as it offers more utility than Heal.
Keystone Runes
Conqueror
The most common rune page for Jinx is Conqueror because you will stack it up quite quickly in the late game for more damage. For minor runes in the Precision tree, go Presence of Mind, Legend: Bloodline, and honestly any of Coup de Grace, Cut Down, or Last Stand. Take Domination as your secondary rune tree.

Lethal Tempo
While setup is less common overall among high-elo Jinx players, among Jinx mains Lethal Tempo is actually slightly more common than going Conqueror. Trading off the AD for attack speed makes sense for the Loose Cannon, as she does need attack speed to pump out more damage. Take the same minor runes in the Precision tree and Domination as the secondary tree for the Lethal Tempo setup as with the Conqueror.
Hail of Blades
A less-common, but still used Domination keystone that gives players extra AS and lets them exceed the attack speed. Go Taste of Blood, Ravenous Hunter, and Eyeball Collection in the Domination tree. For the secondary tree, Precision is the way to go.
