Doublelift has some harsh words for YellOwStaR’s time with TSM
By Andrew Ross
Doublelift shares how he felt with YellOwStaR on TSM.
It’s no secret by now that last split’s experiment with TSM and the legendary Bora “YellOwStaR” Kim did not go well at all.
YellOwStaR left Europe to form what appeared to be a “super team” on paper, but that simply never even came close to happening.
The support went back to Fnatic for the Summer Split, and it’s been long enough for Peter “Doublelift” Peng to be comfortable with sharing his feelings on the failed experiment.
The superstar ADC recently did an interview with Joshua “Jatt” Leesman, and they got on the topic of all the supports Doublelift has ever played with. When it came time to talk about YellOwStaR, Doublelift had some very harsh things to say.

“I think YellOwStaR was definitely one of the worst supports I’ve ever played with. I don’t know what happened, but he had really poor mechanics and I think his decision making as well was really off. I’m not going to blame it all on him, I definitely didn’t go out of my way to have good synergy with him. In the end, we just settled on I’ll play Kalista and we’ll work by I shoot you in with my ulti or I pull you out of a bad situation with my ulti. That’s why I was a Kalista one-trick for that whole split,” said Doublelift.
Everyone already had an idea that this is how the situation was, but it’s shocking to see Doublelift come out and say it.
It’s always the darkest before the dawn, and that cliche rings true for Doublelift right now. When asked about his new support, Vincent “Biofrost” Wang, Doublelift had nothing but great things to say.
“And now Biofrost is like the gold mine, dude. I can go on and on about Biofrost forever. He’s calm in situations where he has no right to be calm. He plays like a veteran, but he’s a rookie. He still has that rookie hunger where he’s in and he’s always listening to ever feedback that he gets. I’m like, ‘Hey, what do you think about this? Maybe you should play this differently,’ and he’s always like, ‘I’m on it.’ He always takes on new responsibilities every week. He’s become fully integrated with the team and it really shows,” said the ADC.
Doublelift then added, “His mechanics are sick. We’re always doing really well in lane. Everyone on the team just knows he’s a very clutch player. It seems so weird, but in close games, he’s won the game for us with Bard ultis or Braum ultis that another player would not have been able to pull out. I think in terms of an all package player, my favorite player I’ve ever laned with is him. He’s always the most consistent player on our team.”
It must be incredible for Biofrost to see this kind of praise from his teammate, especially one who has historically been critical of teammates.
