Will OpTic finally lose an LCS match, or will NA’s professional League of Legends Summer Split continue to be ridiculous?

The LCS keeps surprising us with OpTic still going flawless and Team Liquid being tied at 4th place. Here are my predictions for the upcoming League of Legends games.

Team Liquid vs FlyQuest

More from LCS

On paper, this one should be easy to predict. FlyQuest is decent but, let’s face it, nowhere near Team Liquid, right? Well, that is what I would have said if it was not for them beating TSM and TL losing CLG and Echo Fox. Still, I do have faith in anyone from Team Liquid to carry a game and, normally, they are quite good at League of Legends, especially when ahead.

Prediction: Team Liquid

Cloud9 vs OpTic Gaming

Probably one of the least expected teams to lead the current ladder was OpTic as they finished 7th in Spring. Contrary, C9 is one of the few teams to perform commensurate their expectations, only having dropped one match so far in the LCS Summer Split. At some point, every winning streak has to end, I forecast that to be on Saturday.

Prediction: Cloud9

Counter Logic Gaming vs Echo Fox

Things are honestly just in pure chaos when we think about the fact that Echo Fox managed to beat TL but fell short to the Golden Guardians. Nevertheless, I expect CLG to take this one since they (should) have superior mid-jungle synergy and definitely the better ADC. But maybe, that is exactly what makes them lose, just like TL…

Prediction: Counter Logic Gaming

Clutch Gaming vs Team SoloMid

Those two teams are probably one of the few to have a rather reasonable standing so far in the LCS. CG definitely benefits from their Korean top-jungle duo, though, Broken Blade is insanely scary right now. Since TSM surely have the superior mid laner, they should be able to gain a win here.

Prediction: Team SoloMid

100 Thieves vs Golden Guardians

Ah well, here we go again with 100T, starting their LCS split without any wins so far. Maybe, with their new roster, they will be able to upgrade their League of Legends performance, though, so far things are looking pretty tough for them. In contrast, Golden Guardians seem very solid in their playstyle knowing and utilizing their strengths.

Prediction: Golden Guardians
