Which LCS teams should be favored in the League of Legends matches for today’s action?

After a rather shaky start in the LCS Summer Split, many teams will be looking to stabilize their standings in the ladder. Here are my predictions for today’s League of Legends games.

OpTic Gaming vs Team Liquid

More from LCS

Ever since the LCS started again, OpTic has not lost any game of League of Legends so far. Now, they have to face a real contender, MSI finalists Team Liquid. Though, TL has not performed up to expectations, unable to beat CLG and Echo Fox. Despite their momentum, I believe Team Liquid is more than capable of going flawless this week.

Prediction: Team Liquid

Echo Fox vs 100 Thieves

Although the current record does not indicate it, Echo Fox has not had too bad of a start so far. They had a tough schedule and were able to beat TL, whereas 100T has not acquired any wins yet, despite an easy calendar. Frankly, I do not see much light at the end of the tunnel for the Thieves, but I would be gladly surprised if they could turn things around.

Prediction: Echo Fox

Team SoloMid vs Cloud9

With this rivalry being as hyped as ever, that is definitely the match of the week. Currently, things are looking good for C9 as TSM was unable to steal a game from a rather weak Team Liquid. Though, this could be even more of a sign for a hyped up League of Legends match since Bjergsen’s team will need every win possible. Much will depend on how the midlane plays out and whether or not Sergen “Broken Blade” Çelik can prove himself against a very dominant Eric “Licorice” Ritchie.

Prediction: Cloud9

FlyQuest vs Clutch Gaming

This LCS game is most likely also gonna be a very close one, possibly an indicator on who can secure a spot in the middle ground for playoffs. With both squads having similar schedules, CG being ahead might be more important than it seems as of yet. Nevertheless, anything can happen in League of Legends, especially with no clear favorite.

Prediction: Clutch Gaming

Golden Guardians vs Counter Logic Gaming

Surprisingly, a lot of fans and, at least that is what it seems like, teams still underestimate the potential Golden Guardians possess in their current League of Legends roster. Especially with the LCS being as shaky as it is right now, acquiring wins against the likes of Cloud9 can be incredibly crucial. Both on paper and from what we have seen, Golden Guardians is ahead of CLG.

Prediction: Golden Guardians
