League of Legends LCS power rankings – Week 8
By Josh Tyler
Three League of Legends teams are locked into the LCS playoffs and another five are fighting over the remaining slots.
Only one week of the LCS season remains and the playoff picture is coming into clear focus. There are three teams – CLG, C9, and TL – clearly above the rest but the League of Legends teams in NA while the other potential playoff teams have massive flaws. Have any of the competitors shifted in our rankings after last week’s action?

Using stats from our friends at Oracle’s Elixir, we’ve broken down how each League of Legends team in the LCS stacks up against each other in terms of key stats. We’ve also used those stats to gauge the quality of each team’s wins and losses, as well as grade their strength of schedule going into the last two weeks. Which teams are in the best position after Week 7.
10. Echo Fox (3-13)
I mean…you almost beat TSM I guess. With the recent news that Echo Fox will be sold to the group that owns Pheonix1, it seems that Rick Fox will have to watch his team in their last week of LCS action getting annihilated by Liquid and FlyQuest. It’s just a shame, beat Liquid for the Gipper guys!
Remaining Schedule: Liquid/FlyQuest
Remaining Strength of Schedule: D
9. FlyQuest (5-11)
Now joining Echo Fox in the “playing for pride” category, FlyQuest have nothing left to play for other than sharpening their skills for a possible Gauntlet run thanks to their fourth-place finish in the Spring Split. They can also play spoiler to the slumping TSM and potentially knock them out of the playoff hunt with a win on Saturday.
Remaining Schedule: TSM/Echo Fox
Remaining Strength of Schedule: A
8. 100 Thieves (7-9)
The Thieves were all but eliminated on Saturday when they lost to Golden Guardians, putting themselves in the position of needing to win out to have a shot of making the playoffs. They got off to the right foot in that endeavor, defeating TSM, but ironically that might be the easiest of their games down the stretch.
Remaining Schedule: Clutch/CLG
Remaining Strength of Schedule: C
7. Clutch Gaming (7-9)
I expected Clutch would go 1-1 over the weekend, and indeed they did by taking a needed win off FlyQuest after losing to CLG. Ironically, while they don’t have the weakest schedule of all the teams in the playoff hunt, Clutch holds their fate entirely in their hands. They’ll get to play two teams that are fighting with them for that final playoff spot and, while they might not be the best among them, it’ll be in their hands whether or not they can get a playoff spot.
Remaining Schedule: 100 Thieves/Golden Guardians
Remaining Strength of Schedule: B
6. Golden Guardians (8-8)
Golden Guardians had probably the toughest schedule of all the non-clinched playoff teams last week, but they managed to pull out a desperately needed 2-0 win to pull themselves one game ahead of the pack in that sixth spot. Unfortunately, their road won’t get any easier having to face C9 this week, but at least they will get to face Clutch to defend their spot even if they lose.
Remaining Schedule: Cloud9/Clutch
Remaining Strength of Schedule: F
