Patch 10.11 will go live for Teamfight Tactics tomorrow. We break down all the changes coming to TFT including the newest galaxy!

Teamfight Tactics won’t be getting many changes in the final patch before the mid-set update. This will be your last chance to climb up the TFT ranked ladder before the mid-set reset, so it’s important to take advantage and know which comps will be strongest in the Patch 10.11 meta. Let’s take a look at all the changes to see what that meta will be when the new patch drops.

New Galaxy

Littler Little Legends

"Everyone starts with 85 health instead of 100."

This is going to encourage players to go for earlier-spiking comps, likely meaning more hyper rolls as opposed to building around 5-cost units. Yes, you take less damage in the early rounds, but you also have access to less gold. This means you won’t be able to level as quickly and if you deplete your health pool too much you’ll be in danger of losing before your comp even comes online.

"Normal Game – 25% of gamesLittler Legends – 12.5% of gamesGalactic Armory – 10% of gamesThe Neekoverse – 7.5% of gamesLilac Nebula – 7.5% of gamesMedium Legends – 7.5% of gamesSuperdense Galaxy – 7.5% of gamesTrade Sector – 7.5% of gamesTreasure Trove – 7.5% of gamesStar Cluster –  7.5% of games"

Normal games will again be less likely to appear in Patch 10.11 (going from 30% to 25%), but you’ll also be seeing fewer games in the Galactic Armory, Treasure Trove, and Trade Sector. All three galaxies are seeing their odds go down by 2.5% in this patch.

Traits

Chrono

"Attack speed increase every 8/4/2 ⇒ 8/3.5/1.5 seconds"

Chrono/Blademasters is one of the most underrated comps in the current TFT meta and it’s getting buffed in the coming patch. You’re going to see a lot of priority on Shen, Ezreal, and Blitzcrank in the next patch.

Infiltrator

"Now always jump immediately at the beginning of combat rather than with a slight delay."

This is a quality of life change and nothing more. Not what is holding Infiltrators back from being super strong (which they are in Mech-Pilot comps).

Tier 1 Champions

Caitlyn

"Ace in the Hole Damage: 750/1500/3000 ⇒ 750/1500/2250"

Hyper roll Caitlyn hasn’t ever really been a thing just because the wind-up on her ability takes too long for the amount of damage it does. I think you’re fine sticking her in a sniper comp still with either Jhin or Ashe.

Graves

"Smoke Grenade Blind Duration: 3/4/5 ⇒ 2/3/5 seconds"

The blind is annoying, for sure, but I don’t think Graves was a strong enough unit to warrant these nerfs. Space Pirates are good, for sure, but Graves is the least-important unit in that trait.

Jarvan

"Ageless Standard Attack Speed Boost: 50/75/100% ⇒ 65/75/85%"

J4 is already creeping into the “comp agnostic” category, where you can build him in almost any attack speed comp because of his ability. He’s losing some power at 3-stars, but it’s rare that anyone is hyper rolling for Jarvan. This makes him a purely better early game unit.

Xayah

"Mana: 0/50 ⇒ 0/70"

She’s been tearing the enemy apart as a key staple of the Shredder comp so it makes sense that she would be getting a nerf. I don’t think you’re really ever building a cooldown item (Shojin or Seraph’s) on her, so this will hurt her pretty badly.

Tier 2 Champions

Blitzcrank

"Rocket Grab Damage: 250/400/900 ⇒ 200/350/850"

Blitz is an incredibly powerful unit who is also comp agnostic, but you’re not building him for his damage. This will take his power level down, but you’ll still build him in just about every comp that you would build him now.

Lucian

"Relentless Pursuit Damage: 150/200/325 ⇒ 150/200/375"

Lucian has fallen off as a Blaster, but he’s still overall a decent unit. However, I don’t think 50 extra damage on his 3-star ability is going to make him hyper roll-worthy. He might now be built in a few extra cases now, though.

Tier 3 Champions

Master Yi

"Attack Speed: 0.8 ⇒ 0.85Fixed a bug where Master Yi’s attack speed ratio was incorrect."

A slight attack speed buff and a bugfix could bring the Bang Bros comp of Yasuo and Yi back into the meta. Rebels also got buffed in Patch 10.10, so this could make the dynamic duo a bit more viable in Patch 10.11.

Tier 4 Champions

Cho’Gath

"Starting/Total Mana: 50/150 ⇒ 75/150"

Cho’Gath is getting buffed despite being a relatively strong unit in the meta right now (and being a core part of the Blaster/Brawler comp). This gets him to that first ult earlier, making him a more viable front-line unit.

Kayle

"Total Mana: 60 ⇒ 70"

Kayle’s been smashing the TFT meta on the current patch, so a nerf was due. However, the 10 extra mana only really impacts her if you build AP items on her (Morellonomicon or Rabadon’s) rather than pure on-hit or attack speed items.

Items

Last Whisper

"90% Armor Reduction ⇒ 75% Armor Reduction"

Another key piece to the Shredder comp, Last Whisper is getting nerfed in the same patch as its best user, Xayah. Whatever hope you might have had that this comp will survive Patch 10.11 are basically extinguished now.
