League of Legends: Space Groove Skins Hit PBE for Patch 11.7
By s. samek
League of Legends has new skins coming on the PBE ahead of Patch 11.7. The Space Groove skins are a brand new line that combines futuristic models with retro color motifs. Seven skins and one Prestige skin will be coming to that lineup when it drops.
Blitzcrank
At first glance, you may question if it’s Blitzcrank because there are cats controlling the robot’s arms. The skin is cute and fun and fits the Space Groove skins’ theme well. Two years have passed since the last Blitzcrank skin and fans of the champion should be happy with a new skin, even if it does come with a hefty price of 1820 RP.

Nunu and Willump
Nunu is just out to dance and have a good time with this goofy new skin. The giant snowball has turned into a pink disco ball, which is pretty rad and fits with the positive vibes that radiate off this skin. The space theme fits the duo well and the color scheme is so good it could challenge to be the best of the pair’s skins. At 1350 RP, it’s certainly reasonably priced, at least.
The Space Groove skins are out of this world!
Nasus
Nasus with more of a corgi head inside a spacesuit will have players doing a double-take. The skin is bright and colorful, which contrasts with a lot of his other skins, which primarily have darker color schemes. Most players will go for it on that unique factor alone, as well as the 1350 RP price point.
Rumble
Another space theme skin for Rumble but the Space Groove skin does stand out against his Super Galaxy, or even Badlands Baron skins. It would have been nice to see a more unique champion selected, which is why this was probably the worst of the bunch. Rumble fans should be happy for their first new skin in three years, which will cost 1350 RP.
Lux
Lux may have been seen before she was made official. Well that doesn’t make it any less of a nice skin. It’s pretty just like pretty much every Lux skin is and I expect it to sell well. This skin wil have a price point of 1350 RP.
Samira
Samira wastes no time in getting a second skin following her release Psyops skin. This one is a bit more colorful and lighthearted, so it’s nice to have this contrast for players who don’t always want to play the dark, futuristic skin. The unique contrast to Samira’s lore and kit will probably make this most players’ preference over Psyops, but either is a quality choice for the Desert Rose. This skin will set you back 1350 RP.
Lulu (Prestige)
The last of the Space Groove skins, this one cute in both of its forms. It does feel like it steps on the toes of Cosmic Enchanter Lulu a little bit as far as space and cosmic themes go, but it’s still different enough to merit a purchase. The color scheme is a bit brighter than Cosmic and it fits in with the playful personality of the fae sorceress.
Two years have passed since the last Lulu skin so it’s good to have one for her. The base skin is 1350 RP, while the prestige will cost 2,000 event tokens.
Riot has been on a roll in 2021 as far as skins go. After Battle Academia in Patch 11.6, they followed it up with a strong showing with the Space Groove skins. These will definitely delight players who are looking to jam and boogie on the Rift.
