League of Legends: Ranking All The Best Katarina Skins

Katarina is a fantastic champion for solo queue, with many enthusiastic mains. Although the Sinister Blade rarely makes appearances in pro play, she is one of League of Legends‘ most prominent champions and as such has one of the largest skin collections.

With thirteen skins to choose from, Katarina has a ton of choices for those who play her. From Warring Kingdoms to Battle Queen, we are going through all of Kat’s skins, ranking them from worst to best.

13. Sandstorm Katarina

Price: 975 RP

It’s rare to see a high-priced skin at the bottom of the list, but man this skin is just plain ugly. With no unique animations or notable effects on her abilities, there’s nothing her to justify the higher price point.

12. Bilgewater Katarina

Price: 975 RP

Another higher-priced skin that just doesn’t warrant it. Like the Sandstorm skin, Bilgewater is an ugly skin without any of the bells and whistles you’d expect.

11. High Command Katarina

Price: 750 RP

There’s an argument to be made that, aesthetically, this skin is worse than the previous two. It actually looks a lot like Katarina’s base skin. But, at least the price is more reasonable.

10. Mercenary Katarina

Price: 520 RP

This is a very bare-bones, coat-of-paint skin without effects or animations. At the very least, this skin is cheap enough that players can stomach looking at the plain skin.

9. Kitty Cat Katarina

Price: 975 RP

No effects or animations, but the skin is at least cute enough to look at that it edges out the other lower-ranked skins. If you’re more of a cat person, this is a great skin for Katarina.

8. Red Card Katarina

Price: 975 RP

Just like the Kitty Cat skin, it’s a basic skin without bells and whistles. But at least the champion model looks nice enough to rank towards the middle of the list.

7. Death Sworn Katarina

Price: 1350 RP

Starting to get into the higher-priced skins, Death Sworn rates lower than most of the others just because it gives little bang for your buck. The animations and effects are changed, yes, but it’s just the color changed to dark blues.

6. Slay Belle Katarina

Price: 975 RP

An especially good skin when Christmastime rolls around, Slay Belle Katarina is probably the best of the “basic” skins. The Christmas lights around the outline of her ultimate is enough to justify the buy.

5. Blood Moon Katarina

Price: 1350 RP

It’s weird because this skin seems like it should work on paper. Katarina fits the ninja Blood Moon theme and the crimson color effects should work for her. But, even though this is a very recent skin, the skin is just so unappealing to look at.

4. Warring Kingdoms Katarina

Price: 1350 RP

Funnily, the Warring Kingdom skin is not incredibly unique and there aren’t a ton of effects and animations added. Still, the look of this skin is so clean that it manages to live up to the price. The recall animation on this skin also might be one of Katarina’s best.

3. Battle Queen Katarina

Price: 1820 RP

Kat’s most expensive skin, it unfortunately doesn’t manage to live up to the hype. Yes, it has new effects and animations, and even a new voice line, but the content of those additions just aren’t enough to warrant this high price.

2. PROJECT: Katarina

Price: 1350 RP

Easily the most unique of Katarina’s skins, the neon pink and futuristic theme stand out among the rest. Kat looks great and the effects on her abilities just pop off the screen.

1. Battle Academia Katarina

Price: 1350 RP

The Battle Academia skins just plain work for some champions and Kat looks like she was born to be cast in this League of Legends anime. The animations on her daggers and the ultimate are gorgeous, better than any of the other skins. This also has an argument for the best recall animation of any of Katarina’s skins.
