Patch update 7.21 is now live in League of Legends as here are all the changes that have hit champions.

With patch update 7.21 the last one of Season 7 before the big Runes Reforged update, developers have buffed, nerfed, and balanced several champions in League of Legends. With how huge the Runes Reforged update is going to be, this latest patch update is small in size but developers have done their best to continue balancing champions.

For the most part, this update has hit more of the jungling champions of League of Legends. The goal continues to be to put champions in a good place where they’re efficient, balanced, and again, able to have clear abilities that aren’t overpowered and make sense when engaging enemy champions.

Azir

Developers have nerfed Azir after he got a nice update a few patches ago and has been overpowered. He’s been more popular and delivering on his unique (and hard!) style of gameplay but it’s been too much to handle as of late. Developers have nerfed his Q – Conquering Sands to have his patented Sand Soldiers do reduced damage in the latter part of matches.

Ekko

In case you missed it, just like Ezreal, many Summoners have taken Ekko into the jungle and actually made it work successfully. Due to seeing Ekko gaining popularity as a jungler, developers have given a huge buff the damage to his P – Drive Resonance to further the cause.

Evelynn

After Evelynn got a complete rework, she lacked damage when clearing the jungle in a fast and efficient manner. Developers buffed her E – Whiplash so she can kill quicker and be in a position to roam faster in the jungle, especially when she’s about to gank a lane when killing a monster.

Galio

Ever since Galio got his much-needed rework, he’s been in a weird place. He’s a tanky champion but doesn’t seem to have that game-changing kind of damage that can turn a match in his favor after he’s fully geared and leveled up. Developers noticed that in order to balance him out, they made some key changes to his kit. Galio’s Q – Winds of War, W – Shield of Durand, and E – Justice Punch have been nerfed. His Passive – Colossal Smash, Q, W, and E have had their ability power ratios increased. It’ll scale now as this buff should see him be able to keep up with anyone in late game team fights and when pushing objectives to leave a match victorious.

What’s the best way to make Gangplank more effective as a top and mid lane champion? Earning more gold! It goes perfectly with his lore since pirates love and need more gold. Such is the case with his patch 7.21 update where the gold he gets from his Q – Parrrley has been increased.

Rammus

Let’s face it, whenever we’re in champion select and see the opposing team has Rammus as their jungler, we all make that same face of frustration. Now, expect to see more of it as developers increased the armor bonus of his W – Defensive Ball Curl at later ranks. To balance him out, the Magic Resist and percentage given have been decreased of this ability.

Sejuani

Is there a more fun champion to play than Sejuani? Depending on who you ask, many enjoy playing as her in the jungle role as enemy champions hate going up against her thanks to the utility of her kit. Developers noticed she’s a bit tough to take down so they’ve nerfed her base defensive stats and the damage of her E – Permafrost to make her still a challenge to kill but not one where no matter what you do, she’s already one step ahead.

Udyr

Yet another jungler has been changed in patch update 7.21. This time around, Udyr gets some much-needed buffs to put him back in a better place. Udyr now gets more Attack Damage as he levels up as his Q – Tiger Stance and R – Phoenix Stance abilities have gotten more damage added to them to provide more of a kick when he comes to crash your lane.

Urgot

Developers originally wanted Urgot’s rework to make him a force to reckon with in team fights. Due to his size and potential to be a game-changing tank when engaging against an enemy team, developers knew that it’s best to continue balancing him towards such a goal. They have nerfed the early rank damage done of his Passive – Echoing Flames but made its cooldown decreased as he levels up. Urgot’s Q – Corrosive Charge also now detonates quicker so watch out for those explosions!
