Who are the best League of Legends players in each position in the LCS after Week 2?

After two weeks of play, a lot of LCS teams are surprising us in both good (OpTic) and bad (TSM) ways. But which players have been the best in the league through two weeks of play? It’s time to take a look at all the League of Legends stats available to us through Week 2 and rank every single player in the LCS, starting in the top lane.

Once again, these rankings are based off our own proprietary statistics, developed from the traditional stats available for all major regions. We explained them a bit more in the first LCS breakdown, but you can see the full statistics here.

More from LCS

Top lane

1. Colin “Solo” Earnest (Echo Fox)
2. Eric “Licorice” Ritchie (Cloud9)
3. Kevin “Hauntzer” Yarnell (Golden Guardians)
4. Omran “V1per” Shoura (FlyQuest)

If there’s been one bright spot on FlyQuest’s disappointing 1-3 start, it’s been V1per. He took over the game in their one win vs TSM, going 3/0/4 on his signature Riven pick.

One thing that gets overlooked about V1per is how good of a laner he is. He averages a lead on his opponent in gold, experience, and CS at the 10-minute mark. This was evident in their win when he took a 100g lead over Broken Blade at 10 and ballooned it into an over 1000g lead just six minutes later.

5. Kim “Ruin” Hyeong-min (Ruin)
6. Jung “Impact” Eon-yeong (Team Liquid)
7. Sergen “Broken Blade” Çelik (TSM)
8. Heo “Huni” Seung-hoon (Clutch Gaming)
9. Niship “Dhokla” Doshi (OpTic Gaming)
10. Kim “Ssumday” Chan-ho (100 Thieves)

With the news coming out that 100 Thieves will be subbing out Ssumday in today’s matches, replacing him with FakeGod, a lot of people were scratching their heads. I’m not one of them, though.

As much as Ssumday is not the biggest of 100 Thieves problems, he has struggled heavily in the first two weeks. He has the worst adjusted KDA of any LCS top laner, the worst damage quotient, and the worst laning stats of any player in the LCS. He hovers at being down almost 500g, 175 experience, and over 7 CS at 10.
