Patch 11.7 has been announced with a number of buffs to champions that need some help in solo queue like Yorick, Teemo, and Amumu. But, if you’re a pro play watcher, you’ll also notice plenty of the pro play dominating champions like Kai’Sa, Udyr, and Hecarim. Here are the five changes that really stood out in the latest patch notes.

1. Everfrost Nerfs

Everfrost

"GLACIATE DAMAGE: 125 (35% AP) ⇒ 100 (30% AP)GLACIATE COOLDOWN: 20 seconds ⇒ 30 seconds"

This item has basically dominated the mid lane meta since it got buffed a few patches ago. It’s been a major reason for champions like Ahri to return to the pro play meta and helped a lot of mages that lack utility. These changes open up some more of the AP items like Liandry’s and Luden’s.

2. Ashe Buffs

R – ENCHANTED CRYSTAL ARROW

"COOLDOWN: 100/90/80 seconds ⇒ 100/80/60 seconds"

More from Blog of Legends

Ashe is already a champion that’s been getting picked more in pro play, and she’s fairly strong in solo queue for ADCs. A 20-second buff to her ultimate’s cooldown at rank three is fairly huge, especially given that her build usually includes a lot of ability haste.

3. Teemo Buffs

PASSIVE – GUERILLA WARFARE

"ELEMENT OF SURPRISE DURATION: 3 seconds of bonus attack speed ⇒ 5 seconds of bonus attack speed"

E – TOXIC SHOT

"ON-HIT BASE DAMAGE: 10/20/30/40/50 ⇒ 11/22/33/44/55"

It’s not that Teemo is currently strong and doesn’t deserve buffs, but Teemo is just so annoying that any buffs are going to increase his play rate. Plus Teemo is already in a fairly good spot before the buffs, so this could bump him into the A tier for solo queue.

4. Yasuo Buffs

BASE STATS

"AD GROWTH: 2.2 ⇒ 3"

While some champions like Tristana and Udyr lost 2 base AD, Yasuo got 0.8 AD per level. That means, at level 18 he will get 14.4 more AD than he does currently. For a champion who scales as well as Yasuo and who can be incredibly volatile in terms of whether he’s meta or not, this could very well bump him back up towards being in the meta.

5. Rell Nerfs

E – ATTRACT AND REPEL

"STUN DURATION: 0.75 seconds ⇒ 0.5 seconds"

This is actually significant because at 0.5 seconds, Rell would now have one of the shortest stuns in League of Legends. Her Attract and Repel isn’t her most significant teamfight ability, but it is a fairly big and reliable way to follow up on her Magnet Storm.
